Connect FolioTrack to Claude, or any other MCP-compatible AI model or agent, via the FolioTrack MCP Server — then ask about your portfolio directly, without opening FolioTrack.

Pro feature

This guide uses Claude as the example, but the FolioTrack MCP Server works with any MCP-compatible client — not just Claude. The same URL and steps apply.

Copy your MCP Server URL

This is the same FolioTrack MCP Server URL for every account. You’ll paste it into Claude in the next step, then sign in and approve access when prompted.

Add it as a connector in Claude

In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors, search for FolioTrack in the directory and click Connect.

Claude will redirect you back to FolioTrack to sign in and approve the connection — you’ll see exactly what it can access before confirming. A Pro plan is required to complete this step.

Or add it manually as a custom connector: go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, and paste the URL from step 1.

Ask Claude a question

That’s it — start a new chat in Claude and ask about your portfolio. No need to open FolioTrack first.

FolioTrack doesn't provide financial or tax advice

FolioTrack's Taxable Income Summary (Estimate) report does calculate figures from your data — but a calculation isn't advice, and it should always be checked by a registered tax agent.

Edit, delete, or add anything to your account

Your data is hosted in Australia and never leaves unless you choose to connect a third-party AI assistant (like Claude), in which case the data you ask about is shared with that service. FolioTrack doesn't control what Claude does with data once shared in a conversation. Revoke access anytime from Settings → Connected Apps.

Revoking access

You can disconnect Claude at any time from Settings → Connected Apps. This immediately revokes access — Claude won’t be able to read your data again until you reconnect.
